OPERATING SESSION PLAN
Operating sessions on the Great Lakes Eastern River Subdivision will be scheduled at least once monthly after the layout has the physical plant constructed. A typical session would begin at 18:00 ET and last through 24:00 ET, under a 1:6 fast clock, thus allowing twenty-four hours of operation in that six-hour period. Session times are not set in stone and may be altered at any time.
The session will see a minimum of fifteen trains operated across the route in the twenty-four hour period, with the River Subdivision Dispatcher controlling the movement and flow of traffic, via NORAC Form D Authority in conjunction with Rule 251 ABS and adapted software. Operators will use the Digitrax Digital Command Control throttles to move their assigned trains over the subdivision.
The Dispatcher, in addition to the
Form D and radio communication, will comply with the Northeast Operating Rules
Advisory Committee (NORAC) signal indications in Automatic Block Signal
territory. Great Lakes Eastern Railroad Company will use a this
GLE FORM D to authorize all movements during the session. (To

More information will be posted here as the plan is further refined during the construction phase of the GLE.
